Collaborations

RRSSC has many collaborations with Universities, Hospitals in Europe and companies active in the pre-clinical research business

  • Starting on the first of June, 2011, RRSSC signed a cooperation contract with Charles River Europe for the organization of high-level microsurgical training courses.
  • Starting in March 2012, RRSSC has been organizing courses in cooperation with ASiT (Association of Surgeons in Training) in the UK.
  • Starting in June 2015, RRSSC and AD Instruments joined forces and offer courses on the measurement of blood pressure, LVP, RVP and PV-loops, using PowerLab and LabChart.
  • Starting in January 2016, RRSSC and Instech co-organised several interesting courses. Following up on the October 2015 Clamp Symposium in Odense and the 2016 Clamp Symposium in Munich, we now offer a 7-day Rat and Mouse Glucose Clamp Course. Next to that, the interest in Automated Blood Sampling is growing rapidly. We have a lot of experience with these techniques and we offer a 3-day ABS course, with emphasis on sampling from the jugular vein, the femoral vein and the hepatic portal vein.
  • Starting in February 2019, RRSSC, Transonic and Emka joined forces and offer courses on the measurement of LVP, RVP and PV-loops.
  • Starting in September 2021, RRSSC and InsideScientific signed a cooperation contract. To reach our goal of making in-lab and virtual training programs accessible to more researcherswe are gratified to announce our agreement with InsideScientific, an online environment of resources for life-science researchers. We will be collaborating on new virtual and in-lab training programs. For example, RRSSC recently provided important scientific content for a live online demo session on inhalation anaesthesia for one of Kent’s major European customers. We both look forward to continue cultivating our relationship.  The new alliance is part of our strategy to enable more labs to gain the skills and confidence to accelerate their research designs, improve results, and transfer critical skills to other lab members – this is particularly important as surgical skills play a crucial role in research success and reproducibility of quality data. We believe that by offering improved access to advanced techniques, scientists will gain an increased understanding of physiological systems and associated diseases, and become more optimally equipped to develop effective treatments. InsideScientific founding director Andy Henton remarks, “Together, we will support the global research community and ensure scientists have the critical surgical skills and vision they need to explore and discover new areas of physiology and medicine”.
  • Starting in April 2023, a Strategic Partnership between Fine Science Tools (FST) and René Remie Surgical Skill Center (RRSSC) was accomplished.
FST and RRSSC are excited to announce the FST X RRSSC Microsurgery Kit developed by Fine Science Tools Surgical Workshop and the René Remie Surgical Skill Center as an important step in developing closer cooperation between the two companies. The special Microsurgery Kit contains a curated collection of specialized instruments useful in the vast majority of microsurgical procedures. It is designed to facilitate the process of selecting the right instruments for researchers at any stage of their career.
